Within the last three years I have published many papers on on-line learning and distance education and my current research includes: the measurement of attitudes toward personal use and school use computers among Egyptian teachers and individual readiness of university staff to develop and implement e-learning approaches. I teach many courses in computer-based learning, instructional technology & media studies for undergraduate and postgraduate students. I received my Ph.D. in educational technology from the University of Hull in the UK. In 2000, I received the Best Educational Web Site award from the Sixth International Conference on Web-Based Learning in Fredericton, Canada for designing an on-line learning environment (called Wired Class).
